How to find the right replacement coil

A coil only fits the device or tank family it was made for, so start with the brand and model of your kit. The coil family name is usually printed on the existing coil or in the kit manual.

Choose a resistance

Coils of around 0.8 ohm and above are generally for mouth-to-lung vaping with nic salts or 50/50 e-liquids. Sub-ohm coils (below 1.0 ohm, often 0.15 to 0.4 ohm) are for direct-to-lung vaping with high VG shortfills at higher wattage. Check the wattage range printed on the coil or listing.

How often should I change my coil?

It depends on use and e-liquid. Change the coil when the flavour fades, it tastes burnt, or vapour drops off. Sweet e-liquids tend to shorten coil life.

How do I prime a new coil?

Add a few drops of e-liquid to the exposed cotton, fill the tank, then leave it for 5 to 10 minutes before vaping, starting at the low end of the wattage range.

Will any coil fit my tank?

No. Coils are specific to a tank or device family. Match the coil series named on your current coil or in your manual.
